Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program - Education
SNAP-Ed

The mission of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program-Education (SNAP-Ed) of the Minnesota Chippewa tribe is to provide a circle of quality services to elders, families and children within the tribal community by promoting weliness and healthy active lifestyles through education, advocacy and training emphasizing culture and Healthy People 2010 guidelines.
Our overarching goal, since 1993, remains that participants in Minnesota Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed) will choose healthful, safe foods and active lifestyles to help reduce chronic disease and increase general well-being. We do this work with the six reservations to assure culturally sensitive training.
